Our Story

Divinae Retreats was born from a deeper calling—to create a space where meaningful healing could unfold at the intersection of science, spirituality, and community.

Divinae carries forward a mission rooted in reverence for both the Earth and the human capacity to heal.

The work began with Dr. Renee Grandi, a family physician with more than two decades of clinical experience. Over time, she recognized that many patients were not reaching lasting healing through conventional approaches alone. This realization led her to explore trauma-informed modalities such as EMDR and neurofeedback, and ultimately toward the profound potential of psychedelic-assisted healing.

Through personal experience and deep study, Dr. Grandi and her colleague Stefanie Cedarbrook, witnessed the transformative impact of psilocybin in addressing trauma, restoring connection, and opening pathways to wholeness. In late 2022, she and a small group of trusted colleagues began facilitating intimate retreat experiences within their community. The depth and integrity of these early gatherings—and the life-changing outcomes they inspired—made it clear this work was meant to grow.

One year later, The Divine Earth Church was formally established, creating a protected and values-based framework for this sacred work. The decision to form as a nonprofit church—rather than an LLC or other corporate structure—was intentional. Within the United States, churches are afforded certain protections under religious freedom laws, allowing spiritual practices to be expressed and shared with greater flexibility. For The Divine Earth Church, this structure reflects a sincere belief in psilocybin as a sacrament and supports its use within a guided, ceremonial context rooted in community, intention, spirituality, and reverence. Grounded in the understanding that healing is both a personal and collective journey, the church has grown into a vibrant community offering retreats, services, integration support, and educational experiences.

Divinae emerged as a natural extension of this vision—an intentional retreat experience designed to support deep inner exploration within a safe, thoughtfully held environment. Each retreat is rooted in preparation, guided experience, and integration, honoring both the scientific and spiritual dimensions of healing.

At its core, Divinae is an invitation: to reconnect with yourself, with others, the spirit, and with the living world around you.
